Corrections Policy
Bengal Gazette is committed to accuracy. When we make mistakes, we correct them promptly, transparently, and prominently.
Our Commitment
Bengal Gazette applies rigorous verification standards before publication. Every factual claim is supported by documented evidence. Despite these standards, errors can occur. When they do, we correct them without delay and without attempting to conceal that a correction was made.
Types of Corrections
A material error of fact — incorrect names, figures, dates, or events. The article is updated and a correction notice appended clearly stating what was changed and when.
Where a statement was accurate but potentially misleading. A clarification note is added to the article.
Where an article cannot be corrected because the central premise was wrong. The article is removed and replaced with a retraction notice explaining why.
How to Request a Correction
Contact us at editor@bengalgazette.asia with subject line Correction Request. Please include the article URL, the specific statement you believe is incorrect, what you believe the correct information to be, and any supporting evidence. We aim to respond within 3 working days.
