Editorial Advisory Board
Distinguished advisers guiding Bengal Gazette's editorial standards and serving as jury for the Hicky Award.
The Honour of Board Membership
In accepting membership, an individual joins a body associated with South Asia's oldest journalistic legacy — a publication suppressed by colonial power precisely because it refused to be silenced. Board members carry that legacy forward as guardians of independent, evidence-based journalism.
Board Mandate
- Editorial Advisory: Members provide guidance on high-risk investigations and editorial standards. Advisory input is non-binding — editorial authority remains with the Editor-in-Chief.
- Hicky Award Jury: The Board serves as jury for the annual Hicky Award programme.
